On this class came time to records Vocals. So i think its obviously how to do it ,right ? Mic stand, compressor mic, ''pop'' shield and vocal/mic shield. Of course it's a standard set up , but had to check how to record no only compressor mic but dynamic mic as well. Set up for Dynamic mic was this same as for a compressor mic. We tried record talking in the distance and in close position. Even we record two vocals in the same times by using one from the options in the mic called : Figure of Eight .

Today I didn't done a lot because we had to record a Bass, so I was playing for whole class. But how to record Bass? By using D.I. box , dynamic microphone or condenser microphone setted up on the front of the speaker or on the edge and of course using compressor on the Bass track. To be honest I forgot we had to record bass on that day so that's why I didn't prepared any bass lines and I had to play a random thing during recording.

Today on class we were learned how to record electric guitar. Everyone prepared some ideas and shared between everyone. We've been split into 3 groups and we had to record guitar with maximum 3 microphones. My group decide to make more warmer and deeper sound, so we set up 1 dynamic microphone on the front , middle of the speaker , second dynamic microphone we put on the edge of the speaker and 1 condenser microphone on the back of the amp. Recording goes quite good, sound was really warm , but we could set up condenser mic in the different place.

Hi ! So on last class we had practicing Jazz Blues. Everyone had to play a solo on his instruments. I was playing only rhythm for a grove . After wee sit with this at home i feel more comfortable to play this with the band. But the thing its i need to practice my solo part, because i never was playing solo in the band, i was always the rhythm section... but i think its gonna change soon
So... what can I say about that class... Im suck? Blues, Jazz its not my type of music to play or listen , So I know I need to work very hard on this class. Scott gave us a structure of Blues Jazz music , I need to just sit with it and practice. I think we should have more practice in the bands to remember how it works, and just remembe

We been asked to play a song which we already know and we can play for a rest of class. I decided to play a song by Maximum The Hormone called "Rock'n'Roll Chainsaw''. I choose that song because i think bass line its quite hard to play, and u need more skills to play whole song .
The biggest problem for my was the sound of my bass. I don't have bass amp yet in my flat so was hard for my to choose sound on the bass amp in college before playing. We had to play in sitting position and standing position. I had problems on the first take because I didn't heard the background song, only my bass on the amp which was next to me. But when I stand up was much better. I was not very happy from this solo, but I know that was only for warm up and no for a mark.
Next time gonna be much better !
After exam :
Today we had to perform song which we were practicing and learning from last weeks , my song was maximum the hormone - rock n roll chainsaw , like said in post before i had few problems with the song but on the day of performing i was feel more confident .
Today in class we were talking about two types of microphone - Condenser and Dynamic.
